The high road

Sometimes we forget to celebrate the good in situations. I am gonna go on a limb and guess that it is extremely easy to look for the negative in every situation, in every word that is said, in every action that is done, and once it happens it's even easier to focus on it and to discuss it with someone else. This is a terrible disease. The unfortunate thing is there are many suffers of this disease and they may not know they are suffering from it. GOSSIPING.

Gossiping is one of the oldest and most toxic practices that you can indulge in regularly, but we choose to do it without a second thought. We do it without thinking about the people who is at the end of it, we destroy someones reputation and character in less than a second with the words we choose to affiliate someone with. The saddest part is when this disease erupts among people and places where only LOVE should be the common factor.

It's easy to take the easy way out and exude negative ideas and thoughts about another person, but challenge yourself today and in your tomorrows to refrain from that energy.

Challenge yourself to do what so many people don't do. Try seeing only the good in every situation, in every person, in every occurrence. The truth is it will be mishaps, and it will be things that happen that you would rather not experience, but, how much of your energy and time will you dedicate to it.

Have a wonderful GOSSIP free day!

Miss Misery just loves her some company!

You ever watched someone sit and destroy another person's character with their tongue. Just strip them of all dignity, admiration and respect because that person "felt" like giving their two cents and they wanted to gossip for gossip's sakes. I have watched so many people sit and do this over and over again, and the worst part of it all is, when that person is in their company again...they will smile, speak to them as if they never said such venomous things to begin with.

I have noticed that I cannot even stay in the same company as people who do this anymore, because they are giving you a glimpse of what they will eventually do to you. Your friendship is contingent on how "good" you are to them. As long as you stay in the parameters of doing what "pleases" them, then you are safe from the destruction as well. Riggghht. But who wants to live like this? Who wants to have weak people surrounding them all the time. The loudest one in the room is the weakest, why have them in your circle anyway, you only are as strong as that weak one.

I have no desire to surround myself with people who are negative, phony, haters, silent haters, spectators, everything that comes out of their mouth is a complaint or they are complaining about someone else. They usually don't even know how ridiculous they are, and you can't tell them anything because they KNOW IT ALL! Such a joke.

Do yourself a favor and listen to your spirit and leave those people right where they stand. They will always have someone who despises their energy around them, and you don't need it rubbing off on you.

Have a great weekend! Smile often and stay positive! :)

"But what I said was....

From the beginning of time people have somehow tangled themselves in the "He said" "She said" TANGO. It started in Kindergarten when the little boy took your blocks and said "Jeremy did it"...You then were madd and sticking your tongue out at Jeremy, and Jeremy hasn't a clue why. It is all part of the game.

This is not so innocent and easy when you are an adult and your ego can sometimes be at the center of your life, and you have the ability to two-piece somebody instantly and drop them where they stand! BUT....It happens everyday.

The worst part of people just running their mouths so much is that they sometimes forget that someones character is at risk, and when you say certain things you just cannot take it back. It is like a 1st degree Burn on your skin. The discoloration will always be visible even after it has healed.

Everyone has an opinion, it is where that opinion was birthed from that can give off the bad vibe. Was it birthed from hate, jealousy, confusion, Deceit, Rage, Concern..etc. We cannot please EVERYONE ALL THE TIME. It is just a false hope and is not realistic on any level.

Someone will ALWAYS have something to say and will always have their outlook on what it is YOU do. I have found that it is the most rewarding when you can find that friend who can tell you to your face no holds barred how they truly feel and how they would like to HELP make it better.

Being Honest, authentic and 100 with people sounds easy, but it isn't. People will ALWAYS take the easy route and run from saying what is really on their mind. Sometimes this is good, because if someone is not close to you or does not play a intricate part in your life, then their honesty might not hold as much weight as someone who does.

I for one, just can always be in a space of gratitude when honesty surrounds me and a person can SAY what they really feel and if they Really said something or felt a way, they can say that too. Since this is how I live.

Live honest! Speak UP! Watch your life truly unfold....embrace it.

Love....

XOXOXO

The Emptiest Barrels always makes the most noise.

Have you ever watched someone destroy themselves by talking way too much. A wise person once told me... "Shut up and just let someone talk...let them ramble on, without you giving much input and watch them tell you way more information than you need to know".

I have seen people do this so many times that it becomes a sport for me. I am a natural conversationalist and could hold a conversation with an alley cat and find something interesting about it. Some of my closest friends like to bother me about it, saying "Dee you just talk to people too much...stop"! What I have learned is there is nothing wrong with talking to people, it's what you choose to talk about that causes the problem.

There are people who will go at full length about a topic that has nothing to do with them, get all excited, start becoming the prosecutor for someone in a situation they have nothing to do with at all. Leading to them spilling the beans about things that are not in their place to do.

There is always somebody to stomp their feet, and yell from the rooftops about "what they going to do" and "how they feel about" a situation... then you listen and watch them put on this show, and it means nothing. Why are you so excited and enthused about something that has nothing to do with you? Why have you lined yourself up to be the person who said "this and that", causing so much unnecessary drama? Why are you now the point of reference to events that you were not even present for, when they happened. Was it so hard for you to not try to prove a point and just shut your mouth!

I think this is the worst display of character, and when I see it, I immediately distant myself from that type person, not wanting to align myself with having their presence in my life.

People who gossip and get in the middle of drama, and make NOISE about situations and events that have nothing to do with them, actually tells you a great deal about the fabric they are made of. You should love when you actually meet these type of people, because you don't have to go through fostering a friendship or relationship to know that they are no good to have in your world. You have to ask yourself, if they are doing that to an individual, what makes me different if it all came down to it?

Why would they defend me instead of stripping my character, and dignity. After all, it is clear they have nothing BETTER or more important to do, since they have dedicated so much time into the petty act at hand.

When folks have time to sit and defame someone else, or even worry themselves about the business of men, they are not utilizing their greatest potential, and they are miserable. As the quote goes "An idle mind is a dangerous thing", it will give birth to jealously, hatred, greed and a host of other non productive thoughts, that will keep you moving fast going nowhere.

I caution and advise that if you know people who fit the description of the above...to keep the distant of a ten foot pole between you and them. They serve no greater purpose to your plans and their wrath will soon catch you as well. It's inevitable.

I have learned to be extremely careful and cautious of the company you keep. Everyone, and everything that we do is a reflection of who we are. Some people learn this the hard way, and if so, better learned than never at all, but THINK... Who wants to have an empty barrel in their crew? I don't know about you, but I need substance. I need to walk away and feel filled up with something more than when I came, and if you are full of hot air, then keep it moving.

Love..Live..Life.

XOXOXO
